ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Coulee Region Chill will be without their head coach when they start their weekend series. That's because ownership has decided to part ways with John Hamre.
In his 32 games on the Chill bench, Hamre went 8-19-5 with the Chill wallowing in the midst of a five game losing streak.
Replacing him for the time being will be Logan and UW Badgers Hockey alumnus A.J. Degenhardt.
Chill lead owner Michelle Bryant said the decision came down to a difference of philosophy. Making the switch now she said gives the Chill a chance to make the playoffs
They're currently 5th in the NAHL's Central Division and start a two game road series against Brookings and Aberdeen this weekend.
