ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Some runners are very serious about keeping their New Year's Resolutions for 2013.
About 450 runners and walkers braved the cold Saturday morning to participate in the New Year's Resolution Walk/Run.
It's the second of three races in the YMCA and Subway winter running series.
Participants took part on a 5K or 5-mile course through Onalaska to help stay fit this winter.
"The holidays are not always the easiest to be healthy so this (run), we heard, really helps keep people motivated over the winter," said Jaime O'Neill, special events director. "Especially with New Year's just happening, a lot of people have New Year's resolutions that they want to get a start on."
The weather was in the double digits this morning. Organizers said it was the warmest January run they've had in years.
The Valentine's Heart Throb Run/Walk on Feb. 9 will be the last run of the season.
