POSTVILLE, Iowa (WXOW) - Six students and a bus driver are injured when icy roads cause a school bus crash Friday morning in north of Postville in Allamakee County .
The crash happened at 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Hawkweed Drive and Ludlow Road according to the Allamakee County Sheriff's Department.
As the bus driver was approaching Ludlow Road, ice on the road caused the bus to slide through the intersection and into a ditch. The bus then went down an embankment and into the yard of a home.
Five of the students and the driver were treated and released from Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. The sixth student was brought to a La Crosse hospital for treatment of injuries from the crash.
