MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Badgers head football coach Gary Andersen has his new coaching staff all but complete.
The latest hire being Jay Boulware from Auburn as tight-ends coach on Thursday. All that's left to get now is a receivers coach.
In the meantime, Andersen says he's excited about his hires and to get started on the field.
"I feel real good about the staff," Andersen said. "Just one more hire to go which might take a while. It's a staff that is recruited throughout the nation and has a lot of experience in it, so I can take any questions you want on it but I feel great about it at this point."
One of those new assistants is offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig who talked about his goals with the offense as the team prepares for spring ball.
Ludwig said, "[We want to] establish an offensive identity, establish the quarterback position, really just evaluate players and the system. I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running."
Ludwig said he believes a one quarterback system is the best way to go but also believes it will be a battle for the starting QB spot come spring.
