LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The La Crosse Fire Department wants to remind city residents that they need a permit to have a recreational fire pit at their home for 2013.

Division Chief Craig Snyder says the yearly permits are $20.00 and are good from January 1 through December 31.

Anyone wanting a permit can go to either City Hall or Fire Station One at 726 5th Avenue South to pick one up.
