SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Sauk County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the women found dead in a hotel room.
Late Thursday morning, the Sauk County Communications Center received a call from Ho-Chunk Security reporting two deceased females in a hotel room.
The women were identified as Stephanie Mortimer, age 25, of Reedsburg and Ashley Brault, age 27, of Madison.
Initial investigation leads to believe the deaths were possibly drug related as needles, syringes and other smoking devises used for the consumption of drugs were found.
Autopsies were completed Friday with toxicology reports pending.
The investigation is ongoing.

The office says its investigation is ongoing, but adds that the initial investigation leads investigators to believe the deaths are possibly related to drugs.
Names of the dead are not being released until after notification of family.
