LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Four area flotillas of the Auxiliary U.S. Coast Guard met in La Crosse Saturday for their annual meeting, including Prairie du Chien, Winona, Rochester, and La Crosse.
All auxiliary chapters are made up of well-trained local volunteers who keep the waters safe year-round, especially during events like Riverfest, Airfest and Oktoberfest.
Training of new recruits began Saturday, with nine new members being added to La Crosse's group.
