LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - After a red carpet grand opening and a gala performance, the public was invited back inside the Weber Center Sunday for a behind-the-scenes look.
Community members explored the Center's theatres, classrooms and backstage areas, and made their way out to the balcony to enjoy the view of the Mississippi River.
Many were in awe.
"All I got to say is, ‘Wow! Wow! Wow," said David Waters, who stepped into the Weber Center for the first time Sunday. "Looking forward to some shows here."
"I think that La Crosse and our whole community is fortunate to have something like this at our fingertips, Carmin Nelson said of the new facility.
The first performance on the Weber Center's main stage will be Macbeth. Performances start Jan. 25.
