La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) It's just a matter of a few weeks before pitchers and catchers get the call to report to spring training.
The boys of summer paid a visit to the La Crosse Boys and Girls Club Wednesday.
The Twins annual winter caravan made it's way to La Crosse.
Pitchers Cole De Vries and Liam Hendricks along with announcer and former pitcher Bert Blyleven spread their baseball gospel.
The Twins coming off a dreadful 96 loss season last year.
But the hopes are for a healthier 2013.
"I think we're going to do a good job rebounding. We've got some younger guys that a little experience. One of them myself. So, I think we'll have better years this year. We signed a couple of free-agent guys that should help us a lot," De Vries said.
"The last two years have not been the type of Twins baseball. It's going to be an audition time in spring training. The Twins need starting pitching. Guys like Cole De Vries and Liam Hendricks hopefully they can step up and fill one of those five spots. Twins have a very good bullpen," Blyleven said.
