SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Two people are injured in a one car rollover crash in Monroe County early Thursday morning.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says that the crash happened at 2:10am along Highway 71 in the Town of Little Falls.
The investigation determined that a car driven by 23-year-old Charlie A. Richards of Sparta went off the road, into a ditch, and rolled over on its side.
Richards, who was not wearing a seatbelt, had non-life threatening injuries. His passenger, 22-year-old Joseph P. Frisk of Sparta, also had non-life threatening injuries, but was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Both were taken by a private car for treatment at the hospital in Sparta.
Richards was later arrested by deputies during the crash investigation.
The Monroe County District Attorney's Office is still working on the official charges against Richards.
