TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The News 19 Weather Academy pulled into St. Mary's Catholic School in Tomah on Thursday.
News 19's Madeline Sky, Alex Kirchner, and Dan Breeden were on hand getting students excited about weather by performing science demonstrations for them and also signed some autographs. They performed experiments such as the egg experiment and the tornado in a bottle to name a few and each student had a favorite.
5th grader, Sam Burbach says his favorite was the egg experiment. "They light a newspaper and they put it in the bottom of the jar. They put an egg on top and the air pressure sucked it in."
Throughout the school year, the News 19 Forecast Team will travel to other area schools to host more Weather Academy presentations.
