MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Wisconsin men's basketball team is happy to have escaped with a win despite another poor shooting performance Saturday against 12th ranked Minnesota.
Yes, the badgers got the "W" but managed just 37% of their shots for 45 points. Head Coach Bo Ryan isn't happy about his team's shooting, but he did find some humor in it.
"One of these games we're going to make the nets move," said Ryan. "Times are tough all over and financially, we're saving a lot of money here at the university because our nets last 10 years. These nets this year will be around 10 years, compared to other gyms where they last a year or two. What, do you think our guys are in the locker room going, 'Man, didn't we shoot the lights out?' We might shoot better if the lights went out. Hmm..."
The Badgers get set for a tough road stretch starting Tuesday at #14 Ohio State.
