Onalaska earns revenge with OT win over Aquinas

La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  Dustin Gordon's free throw with 2 seconds left in overtime was enough to lift Onalaska to a 49-48 win over Aquinas in front of a near capacity crowd at the La Crosse Center Thursday night.

The win gave the Hilltoppers sole possession of first place in the MVC at 9-1.

Aquinas fell to 8-1 in the MVC.

Aquinas was in control for most of the first three quarter and led by as as many as ten.

Onalaska star Matt Thomas was held to just 12 points (30 pt. average) and didn't score a field goal until 1:40 left in the 4th quarter.

Still, the Hilltoppers got solid contributions from others.

Besides Gordon (8 pts.), Connor Helgeson and Connor Gavin also played well.

Michael Conway led Aquinas with 19 points, Parker Weber had 10 and Bronson Koenig had 7.
