LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts made their way to the La Crosse Center this weekend.
Sunday was the last day to attend the 36th annual Boat, Sports, Travel and RV show.
Along with sporting goods, the show also featured an exotic animal show.
Organizers said this weekend's turnout is the highest it's been in years.
"People at this time are thinking about what they're gonna be doing for their summer sports, their summer vacations, if they're gonna get a new boat, if they want to get a new RV this year. This is the time of the year that they do it so they're ready when summer comes," said Bob Wright, CFO of Shamrock Productions. Shamrock Productions sponsors the show.
All kids who came to the La Crosse Center this weekend were greeted by Coastie.
Coastie is the Coast Guard Auxiliary's safety boat. He teaches children the importance of boating and water safety.
Sunday, Coastie stressed the importance of wearing a life jacket.
