LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- La Crosse mayoral candidate Chris Olson is pledging to donate a portion of his salary if elected.
Olson says 10 percent of his salary would go to a local organization, determined by La Crosse residents. Olson says the four he'd like to suggest are the Salvation Army, The Warming House, The Hunger Task Force or housing revitalization for the city.
"Those are only four but there are others," Olson said. "So I'm asking people to go to my Facebook page and vote for which they feel is right or what they'd like to see or tell us where they'd like to see it go."
Olson is also challenging the other candidates to make the same pledge.
