Coulee Region Humane Society & Petfinder Collaborate for Kissing Booth

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -  Coulee Region Humane Society (CRHS) and Petfinder are joining forces for a Valentine's Day adoption event and kissing booth!  The day will be a celebration of shelter and rescue pets where you can find the pet love of your life, give an adopted pet a kiss, and raise funds for CRHS!

For one day only, CRHS will have it's very own "kissing booth" for adopted and adoptable pets. People who have adopted a shelter pet can come to CRHS with their pet and have their picture taken in the "kissing booth" and tell why they think it is important to adopt from a shelter or rescue.  People who apply to adopt a shelter pet can participate as well.   For every picture/story, Petfinder will donate $10 to CRHS.  For every pet adopted on Valentine's Day, Petfinder will donate $50 to CRHS.  Cat adoption fees are $14 for this day only. All other regular adoption policies will remain in place. Visiting and "kissing booth" hours are 1-7pm.

According to Elizabeth Meil, Development and Marketing Coordinator, "This is a wonderful, fun, silly event that will help us find forever homes for our pets.  And who wouldn't like to earn $10 for CRHS just for kissing their adopted furry friend?"

Though adoption rates continue to increase each year, CRHS is still working to reach it's goal of 100% placement of all adoptable pets and needs your help to do so. If you are not able to adopt an animal, for whatever the reason, you can still be a part of this goal by spaying and neutering your pet, encouraging others to spay or neuter their pets, or donating to the CRHS S.N.A.P. fund, to help decrease pet overpopulation.
