Onalaska takes down Central to claim MVC

La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  The top-ranked team in the Wisconsin in division 2 left no doubt who the top team in the MVC is for the 2012-2013 season.

Onalaska beat Central 50-32 in a regular season finale at the Sutton Gymnasium.

The Hilltoppers started fast and led by as many as 19 late in the 3rd quarter before settling for the 18-point win.

Matt Thomas led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hilltoppers finish with 20-2 record, 11-1 in the MVC for their second straight conference title.

Central finished the season in third place in the MVC with a 9-3 record, 19-3 overall.

These two could meet again.

Barring an upset they could meet for a regional championship Saturday, February 23.
