Tomah sex offender released into community


TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Tomah Police are alerting the public that Chad Schroeder has rejoined the community and will be living on North Superior Avenue in Tomah.

Schroeder is a registered sex offender.

He was convicted in 1991 on five counts for assaulting females between the ages of 14 and 18; he knew all but one of the victims, according tot the Tomah Police Department.

Police reported a total of approximately 13 separate victims.

He was convicted again in 1992 for sexually assaulting an adult, police said

Community members should stay alert to Schroeder's activities and report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement, according to police.

Sex offenders have always been in the community and it's a criminal offense to threaten, intimate or harass Schroeder, police added.
