LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Department of Corrections is investigating a La Crosse woman for possible probation violations.
Indra Book was convicted in connection with the death of her infant daughter in 2009.
After failing to provide adequate care, Book placed the dead infant in a cooler and left it with the trash.
Book received four years probation but has returned to court on a number of occasions for violations related to her supervision.
The court, however, has not revoked her probation.
The Department of Corrections is now investigating whether Book moved residences without court approval, then lied to an agent about it.
She is also undergoing drug testing.
The Department of Corrections is still questioning Book, who was jailed Thursday morning.
If her probation is revoked, she will be sent to prison.
Book's probation sentence would be up in October of this year.
