ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Onalaska Police say 23-year old Neala Frye has been found dead.

Police Chief Jeff Trotnic says her body was found near The Spillway Pub in Onalaska around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Searchers had spent much of Sunday looking for Frye. Earlier in the day, some of her possessions were found near the Black River by the spillway.  A blood hound tracked Frye's scent in the area.  Eventually, police found her body in a wooded area near the intersection of Irvin Street and 2nd Avenue.

Foul play is not suspected in Frye's death according to police, who are continuing to look into the incident.

They will say that the cold weather was part of the cause of her death. Temperatures dropped down into the single digits with subzero wind chills reported by the National Weather Service.

ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Onalaska Police are searching for 23-year old Neala Frye, who was last seen at Onalaska's Spillway Pub around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police say Frye is 5-foot-4 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Police say they spent Sunday searching marsh areas near the Black River, close to the spillway, when some of Frye's belongings were found in the vicinity.

A tracking dog led the search, eventually leading police out of the river area and towards a set of railroad tracks when the scent was lost.

A helicopter was also used in the search, and police spoke with Frye's family and several of her friends.

The Police Chief says foul play is not suspected.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Onalaska P.D. at 608-781-9550.
