MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- An 8-month-old boy who was reportedly abducted from a south Minneapolis apartment has been found safe, and the suspect is in custody.
Authorities say Carlos Orozco apparently was not harmed.
The mother told police she left Carlos in his car seat in her apartment while she took a shower around noon Wednesday. He was gone when she got out.
Police arrested a woman who had apparently struck up a friendship with the mother in recent months.
Officers went to a home in south Minneapolis after getting an anonymous tip just before 4 p.m. They found the child safe in the basement and arrested the suspect.
The mother and child have been reunited. An Amber Alert issued to help find Carlos has been canceled.
