LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- This week's edition of the UW-La Crosse student paper, "The Racquet," is dedicated to Neala Frye.
Frye is the 23-year-old UW-L student whose body was found Sunday evening in Onalsaka. A preliminary autopsy report found that factors contributing to Frye's death are hypothermia, secondary to intoxication. The preliminary report showed a BAC of .211.
The issue features pictures and memories from friends.
"It's kind of hard because you feel like you can only do so much for their family and friends, this is the only outlet we have to give to them and we try to do the best we can," said K.C. Powers, the editor-in-chief of The Racquet. "It's a little stressful at times to make sure we get everything right and looking nice."
Powers says anytime there is a student death, "The Racquet" finds a way to honor their memory.
