LA CROSSE, Wisconsin - (WXOW) The 24th annual Organic Farming Conference kicks off Friday at the La Crosse Center.
The conference is hosted by the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service or MOSES.
According to a 2012 UW-Madison organic agriculture report, Wisconsin leads the nation in the number of organic dairy and beef farms. With Vernon and Monroe Counties leading the way in the most organic farms in the state.
Faye Jones, executive director of MOSES says one way to introduce healthy, organic foods into your life is by being a part of a CSA program, or community supported agriculture.
Jones says that once people join a CSA they find just by default they begin to eat healthier.
