Eagle Bluff Elementary Receives Tools for Schools Award

ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Fifth graders at Eagle Bluff Elementary in Onalaska will have a new set of books on their bookshelf thanks to the Tools for Schools award.

Gretchen Lorenz received $300 as part of the award from WXOW and SSE Music.  The award will help Gretchen's class purchase textbooks to adhere to new common core education standards.

"The Tools for Schools will be used for our new curriculum because with all the new changes in common core going on.  We're finding that we don't have the resources that we need at this point so we're kinda in the process in purchasing a lot of new things so our money is going to be spent on new books and technology," says Gretchen.
