Undated, (WXOW) - The Journal of Pediatrics published revised guidelines to help parents make better decisions when treating their child's ear infections.
The revised guideline says if a baby between the ages of 6 months and 2 years has a temperature of 102 and/or acute pain in the ear they should receive antibiotics.
Since the last revision of the guidelines in 2004, child health experts have found that this method is the most effective in treating common ear aches with more severe symptoms.
