LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Sentencing Tuesday for a La Crosse man who led police on a high speed chase through the city last May.
Police arrested 22-year-old Nougai Xiong, along with four others in the car. The judge sentenced Xiong to a total of three years in prison and two years of extended supervision when he gets out. The judge cited Xiong's criminal record in sending him to prison.
"I think also troubling in his case, is his history of gang affiliation," said Judge Dale Pasell. "The things that he has said in the past about being involved, with gangs, he has admitted at different times that he has been involved in gangs since the age of 9."
Xiong is already serving a prison sentence on an unrelated conviction.
