La Crosse, Wis. – Viterbo University women's basketball players Jenna Engh (So. – Westby, Wis.) and Dani Templin (Sr. – Richland Center, Wis.) were honored today as the Midwest Collegiate Conference announced the All-Conference Team. Engh and Templin were one of ten players chosen for the First Team.
This is the fourth straight season that Templin has been honored as she was honorable mention as a freshman and now First Team her final three seasons. For Engh, it is her first all-conference honor in a V-Hawk uniform.
Engh proved to be one of the top scorers in the MCC as she finished second in the league in scoring during conference play at 18.3 points per game. For the season, Engh led the V-Hawks in scoring by averaging 14.5 ppg. Engh made most of her damage from long range as she finished atop the MCC leader board with 83 made three-pointers while also being the top free throw shooter for the V-Hawks by shooting 75.4% from the line. She finished the year with six games of at least 23 points including scoring a career high 32 points against AIB College.
Templin has been one of the top players in the MCC her entire V-Hawk career and this year was no different as she played many roles for the V-Hawks. She finished second on the team in scoring at 10.6 ppg and finishes her V-Hawk career fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,560 points. But scoring was not the only thing Templin did for the V-Hawks this season as she led the team with 74 assists and finished second on the team in steals (43) and third on the team in rebounding (4.6 rebounds per game). She also had a team high 104 made free throws and the second most made three-pointers, 30.
