ONALASKA, WI (WXOW)—The Onalaska Co-op Girls Hockey Team left Wednesday night for the WIAA State Tournament.
With them, they took a number one ranking as well as many well wishes from family and friends during their send off party.
Jamie Weilandt, Onalaska Co-op Hockey Team Junior said last year they didn't have as many people sending them off; and Onalaska High School had an exciting pep rally for them.
She thinks all of the support could be that extra push they need to win first this year.
"I was really nervous all week," Weilandt said. "I haven't been able to focus, take tests well. Just excited! Everybody's excited to go down there and try hard."
The girls will play Friday at noon at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
