LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The La Crosse Children's Museum--not a bad place for local kids to spend a birthday--celebrated a birthday of its own March 2.
The museum is now fourteen years old, and to honor the occasion, a number of community groups gave presentations centered on the concept of healthy living.
There was a smoothie-making lesson, a banana peeling contest, and even Curious George made an appearance.
"The kids will come in the front door with grandma and grandpa or mom and dad, and they're just so excited you can just feel it...and I think that's what it's all about...it's just pure fun...it's all joy and good and we're hoping they're learning something while they're playing," Executive Director Anne Snow said.
Snow also said she looks forward to seeing the Children's Museum expand even more during the next fourteen years, and into the future.
