UNDATED, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The National Weather Service has issued several winter storm warnings and advisories for much of Wisconsin.

Below are some tips and links to help you navigate the storm.

Have an Emergency Survival Kit in your Vehicle

• Your kit should include water, snacks, a first aid kit, and jumper cables.
• Make sure to have a power adapter for your cell phone as well.

Check the Roads Before you Travel

• Call 511 or go to www.511.wi.gov for the latest road conditions.

Limit Travel and Get Supplies for your Home

• Make sure your home emergency kit is stocked with food that can be stored and prepared without electricity.
• Have extra water, flashlights, batteries and medications.
• Make a plan for your family in an emergency.

If you Must Drive in the Storm, Be Prepared:

• Plan ahead and allow plenty of extra travel time.
• Drive at a safe and legal speed for conditions.
• Keep at least half a tank of gas in your vehicle.
• Make sure friends and family know your plans.
