UNDATED, (WXOW) - Health experts say about 10-15% of adults develop acne at age 30 or older.
Often, it's inherited, but for some men and women moving to another geographic location may cause an outbreak.
Or for some women, another factor might be a change in hormones around menopause.
No matter what the cause, health experts say there are medications to help.
Dermatologist Dr. Rutledge Forney says that accutane, a vitamin A derivative, will give people the closest we have to a cure.
Other remedies include topical medications such as acne cream, gel and lotion.
