La Crosse, Wisconsin (WXOW) ----- When most of us think of the Goodwill we think of a place where you can get a wide range of donated items at a discount prices but it's much more than that.
On the outside it's your typical Goodwill store. On the inside it's bursting with color. The rows of clothes are organized so perfectly. The new tags and sale sign makes it easier to spot a deal. And if you're shopping for a certain season, no more rummaging-you'll find it easily.
The store manager says Goodwill stores are a good thing for any community. The store's Manager says "Obviously there's some items that we deem unsellable so we try to do the green thing and recycle, so we do a lot behind the scenes that no one is aware of to keep items out of the landfill."
Goodwill's slogan is donate, shop...change a life. Your donations provide jobs for people in our area while supporting programs that serve people with disabilities. This location has a new book section. And in that section, a children's book written by former Packer Donald Driver.
The doors open Thursday at 9 am. For more information on ways you can support goodwill go to www.goodwillncw.org. The NCW stands for North Central Wisconsin.
