La Crosse, Wisconsin (WXOW) ----- A new online database for children with special healthcare needs is available in our area. It's called "Patients at Risk."
Tom Tornstrom, Director of Operations for Tri-State Ambulance says "this program is great for parents because it allows parents with kids who have special disabilities to go in and register their child, provide lifesaving information about their child and in turn give access to emergency responders such as Tri-State paramedics and emergency departments."
"Patient at Risk" results in better outcomes for children with special needs many of whom cannot communicate what they need in an emergency situation.
