LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Saint Patrick's Day is not until March 17 but festivities kicked off early March 15.
La Crosse's Shamrock Club visited several area schools and nursing homes, including Bethany on Cass, to spread the holiday cheer.
Members of the club sang Irish songs, including the classic "Danny Boy," and young members of Amanda's Academy of Dance performed Irish jigs.
"I love music, and I just love the way the Irish entertain...and this lovely place that I'm living in now have all these wonderful things for us," Bethany on Cass resident Addie Kriese said.
Also in attendance for the celebrations were La Crosse Irish Man of the Year Terry Nolan, and Irish Rose Victoria Hampe.
