LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Children's Trust Fund has awarded The Parenting Place of La Crosse a new grant which allows them to extend their supervised visitation and exchange program.
The supervised visits and exchanges are designed for families with a history of domestic violence. This new grant will allow them to extend programming to additional families who experience tension and conflict without identified domestic violence.
"So maybe they're going through a high conflict divorce. They don't identify domestic violence as an issue but their emotions are raw and they're not their best selves so they need support so that they can get their children to visit each other and want to protect them from all that conflict," says Jodi Widuch, Executive Director for The Parenting Place.
This funding also allows The Parenting Place to extend their programming to their location in Onalaska.
