Supreme Court's Roggensack Visits La Crosse

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- First term Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Patience Roggensack stopped in La Crosse Wednesday.

Roggensack is up for re-election April second against Marquette law school professor Ed Fallone.
Prior to serving her first 10 year term on the state's highest court, Roggensack worked as an appellate judge.

She said those years of experience make her a strong candidate.

"My time on the supreme court and my time on the court of appeals are very, very helpful," Roggensack said.

"The job of a supreme court justice, probably 80 percent of my time, is spent judging whether another judge or court properly applied the law," she added. "I can do a better job of that because of my experience as a judge."
