Rush-Pete falls in semifinals

Minneapolis, MINNESOTA (WXOW)  A big second half by Maranatha Christian Academy carried them to a 61-46 win over Rushford-Peterson Friday in a MSHSL Class "A" semifinal game at the Target Center.

Rushford-Peterson trailed by only two, 20-18 at the half before Maranatha got hot in the second half, outscoring the Trojans 41-28.

Maranatha shot 58% for the game and led by as many as 23 points.

Seth Thompson was the only player in double figures for R-P.

He had 20 points.

Cole Kingsley had 8.

R-P, which was making it's second straight trip to State, will play in the third place game Saturday.
