Black River Falls, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The owner of a failed Black River Falls area tavern was charged Tuesday with having someone set it on fire.
Adkins was charged Tuesday with hiring one of his part-time employees to set the fire. That worker, Kyle Rott, was charged earlier with arson. Investigators say he told them that Adkins and his son, Tyler Keck, approached him to burn down the bar for $10,000. Keck has also been charged.
Adkins was also charged Tuesday with failing to turn over to the state more than $30,000 in sales tax and employee withholdings.
In all, court records show that Adkins faces six felony charges and four misdemeanors in connection with the restaurant and the fire.
The online court records show Adkins, who lists a Las Vegas address, is scheduled for his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on April 15.
