LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - After more than 12 years, the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new President.
On Tuesday, the Chamber's Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Dick Granchalek.
In a statement from the Chamber, it was announced that Granchalek will help the Board in its search for a new President.
2013 Chairman of the Board Dave Booth credited Granchalek's efforts to bring the Chamber to where it is today. "Prior to his arrival, the La Crosse Chamber was in a precarious financial position. Through Dick's diligence and hard work, today's Chamber of Commerce is financially healthy with exciting potential for growth,"
Booth continued. "As Chamber President, Dick was a strong advocate for La Crosse's business community and took great pride in the economic vitality and progressiveness of The Coulee Region."
According to the Chamber's website, they represent more than 850 members around the area.
