LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Nationally known acts Chicago and Daughtry are named as part of the entertainment at this year's Freedom Fest.
Logistics Health, Incorporated, sponsor of the event, made the announcement Thursday afternoon.
This year's Freedom Fest is set for June 15 once again at UW-La Crosse. It starts out with a motorcycle rally during the day. A performance from the Blue Stars takes place during the rally.
Freedom Fest kicks off with features music from the 451st Army Concert Band followed opening ceremonies, then The Remainders take the stage. Daughtry starts out the evening portion of the concert followed by Chicago. A fireworks show rounds out the evening.
Between headliners is a presentation honoring Wisconsin's Fallen Heroes.
Money raised from the Fest go to support veterans causes and include a scholarship fund for vets who are continuing their education.
According to a release from LHI, Freedom Fest has raised $400,000 for veterans and $80,000 in scholarships since it began six years ago.
Tickets for the event go on sale April 6 at the Freedom Fest website and at area Festival Foods stores.
