MADISON, WI (WXOW) - Governor Walker has proclaimed Friday Vietnam Veterans Day in Wisconsin.
The Governor and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs secretary marked the event with a ceremony at the Capitol.
The Governor presented his proclamation to the President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Wisconsin State Council.
More than 165,000 Wisconsin residents served in Vietnam.
Vietnam veterans are the largest group of living veterans in Wisconsin.
