GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Former Onalaska star Nick Arenz might soon play his college ball a little closer to home.
On Friday, Arenz secured his official release from UW-Green Bay allowing him to transfer from the school. The freshman chose to do so after averaging only 0.8 points per game in 96 minutes this past season.
Arenz's father told News 19 Sports that Nick has some interest from D2 schools, including Winona State and Wayne State. He's also considering UW-La Crosse and Viterbo.
