Landslide blocks 2 highway lanes for several hours

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A landslide caused traffic problems for several hours along Highway 14/61 Saturday evening.

The slide, which happened around 5:30 p.m. blocked the westbound lanes of the highway near the Highway 35 split on the southside of La Crosse.

No one was hurt in the slide. 

Traffic was directed into the open lanes while county crews used heavy equipment to clean up the roadway.

The westbound lanes were reopened to traffic around 8:15 p.m.
