LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Easter bunny dropped some of his eggs off at Faith Lutheran Church a day early.
More than 40 kids at Faith Lutheran went on an Easter egg hunt. All the eggs, of course, filled with candy.
Organizers said the hunt was a way to teach the children about Easter, and told the story of Jesus through a puppet show.
Children did not need to be members of Faith Lutheran to participate.
"Obviously candy is a big draw, so when you advertise an Easter egg hunt, that gets kids attention," said Faith Lutheran Pastor Paul Mudding. "So, we certainly have a lot of candy for the kids to enjoy, but also they love doing crafts, kids absolutely love to make things, so we make sure they have a fun craft to make and we make sure we've got a good story to tell them about Jesus."
This was the church's fourth annual Easter egg hunt.
