One Injured in Monroe Co. Vehicle Crash

TOWNSHIP OF LA GRANGE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in LaGrange.

18-year old Kyle Rozek, of Tomah, was traveling northbound on Essex Ave. when, according to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, he failed to halt at a stop sign at the road's intersection with Highway 21.

Police allege Rozek's pickup truck then crashed into an SUV headed northbound on Hwy 21 driven by 82-year old Kenneth Rutlin, of Wyeville, Wis.

According to police, both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Rutlin had to be hospitalized following the crash, although the extent of his injuries are not known.

A release from the Monroe County sheriff's department says the crash remains under investigation.
