Spring election voting turnout

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Turnout in the statewide elections held April 2 came close to the prediction of 20%.

Based on unofficial results, about 19% of eligible Wisconsin voters cast ballots for the state Supreme Court race.

That was one of two statewide issues on the ballot.

The other, State Superintendent, showed 18% of voters casting ballots.

Incumbents in both races easily won re-election.

19% turnout is consistent with spring elections.
