Former BRF Correctional guard accused of sexually assaulting 2 inmates

Black River Falls (WQOW) - A former guard at an area correctional facility is accused of sexually assaulting two inmates.

Gregg Twesme of Black River Falls is charged with assaulting the inmates while he worked as a sergeant at the Black River Correctional Center.

One of the inmates told investigators that the assault happened while inmates were working in a wooded area and that Twesme led him deeper into the woods out of the view of others. A second inmate came forward after hearing about that incident and said Twesme had also assaulted him while on a work detail.

Both said the assaults happened in January. Twesme now faces four felony charges.  He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.

The correctional facility says he quit working there last month.
