LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for some Wisconsin rivers around the state.

Although warnings were issued for the Trempealeau and Black Rivers, flood forecasts show that as of Tuesday afternoon, only low lying areas such as fields and marsh areas are expected to have high water during the week.

The NWS flood warning for the Black River did state there is a possibility that one end of the highway and bridge on County VV in Jackson County near North Bend may have some water across them.

The Trempealeau River is once again flooding into low-lying areas around the community of Dodge in Trempealeau County.

The warnings also include those for the Yellow River in central Wisconsin and Eau Claire River near Fall Creek.

Wood County Emergency Management Director Steve Kreuser tells the Marshfield News-Herald that the Yellow River has a tendency to get ice jams and usually floods each spring. He says it's not threatening homes and no evacuations are planned.

The Yellow River runs from Babcock to Castle Rock State Park. The weather service says the river was at 11.6 feet Monday night and was expected to rise to about 12.5 feet by Tuesday evening. Flood stage is 12 feet.

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports that the Chippewa River in downtown Eau Claire also is rising.
