Seafood destroyed in semi fire

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin (WXOW) The driver was not injured, but his truck and the cargo he was carrying are a total loss after his semi caught fire.

It happened Monday night just after 9:30 on I-94. It took firefighters close to an hour to put out the flames. The driver, from Medford, Wisconsin, was not injured. The fire destroyed his rig and the truckload of seafood he was carrying.

The westbound lanes of the interstate were closed to traffic for nearly an hour while firefighters tackled the blaze.

Investigators have not determined how the fire started.

There was no dollar value immediately available on the lost seafood in the trailer.
