ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Onalaska Police arrest four people they believe responsible for a series of alcohol related retail thefts from area stores.
Onalaska Police Chief Jeffrey Trotnic said officers arrested three men and one woman Wednesday evening following a retail theft at the Onalaska Festival Foods store.
23-year-old Latasha Elder, 17-year-old Lance Booth, 21-year-old Lenard Booth, and 18-year-old David Dorenzo, all from Rochester, Minnesota, were taken into custody on several retail theft charges.
Police had the suspects on security cameras as they distracted the clerk, then made off with the alcohol according to Chief Trotnic.
He credits the work done by an investigator to identify the patterns used by the suspects followed by alerting local stores about the thieves. A clerk who spotted the suspects led to the arrests.
Chief Trotnic says the investigation of the suspects for other area thefts continues.
